Your MyCAA Application: The Getting Started Checklist

MyCAA-sec5-app2Military spouses may be eligible to receive up to $4,000 to further their education. If you’re a military spouse looking to expand your career options and further your education and skill set, then take a look at the first steps to starting the application process for the MyCAA program.

Getting Started

To start the application process, you will need to do a few things. First, you’ll need your own My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA). This will give you a chance to learn about the MyCAA program and find a list of eligible schools and programs.

Next, you’ll want to create a Career Goal. This is a great opportunity to contact the school you’re interested in and learn more about the direction you’re heading.

The next step is to create and Education and Training Plan. Contact the school that provides your program of interest for the necessary documents and help completing this step.

Finally, you will need to set up an Individual Career Plan Consultation with a MyCAA advisor to go over your career goals and education plan.

Some of these steps require time, so it’s a good idea to get started as soon as possible!
